Adjunctive therapies are often added to acupuncture sessions to support treatment goals. Commonly used to treat pain, stress, tight and sore muscles and to boost immune system function.

Bodywork/ Acupressure

The use of Chinese Medicine massage techniques that can relax muscles, move the flow of qi (energy) and blood in the body, activate meridians and treat pain locally.

Moxibustion Therapy

Moxibustion is a heat therapy that has been used for centuries to treat a wide variety of health complaints. The herb known as Mugwart is a very warming and therapeutic substance. It can be used to relax tight sore muscles, warm joints and sinews to treat arthritis and other joint conditions as well as to aid healing from surgery, boost the immune system, calm the nerves and soothe the spirit.

Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture

Ear acupuncture is commonly used to treat stress, trauma and addiction but it can be used to treat a wide variety of complaints. It is a quick and easy way to receive a full treatment without accessing the whole body. It works by using the ear as a microsystem for the whole body and it goes deeply, treats the root of your concerns and leaves you feeling very relaxed.

Infrared/ Heat Lamps

Both infrared (sun) and clay (medicinal) heat lamps increase healing in the body. Warmth is very important to Chinese Medicine as it allows for proper movement of qi (energy) and blood which supports health and vitality. Cold in the body is a common cause of pain and illness thus the simplicity of adding heat to a treatment can go a long way.
